I am a natural storyteller who utilizes my conceptual and strategic abilities to create compelling and authentic brand experiences. I’m passionate about leading design teams to make the complex feel simple and approachable while not sacrificing quality. I thrive in highly collaborative environments, feel comfortable working across all mediums, and have an unnecessarily large amount of pop-culture references available for when the moment calls for it.
I have over 14 years of combined design, branding and marketing experience. During that time, I ran my own Marketing and Design agency, working with small to medium sized companies to create engaging brand experiences. During the last 5 years, I have worked in a design leadership position crafting the overall creative brand strategy for SAP Concur’s beloved travel app TripIt while also managing and mentoring a team of in-house designers.
My multidisciplinary background of business, marketing, and design allow me to be a leader that bridges the gap between the creative team and the needs of a business. I strive to help my teams I work with to understand and connect with a company’s objectives while also being an advocate for them, ensuring that their time is not taken advantage of. I encourage my teams to practice patience and empathy and to view all members of the company as part of a larger team who are all working towards the same goal.
A little more about myself: I don’t take myself too seriously, especially when I’m playing with my 7-year-old daughter. I’m a habitual learner who is always looking for creative ways to grow personally and professionally. I’m fascinated by History and Psychology, and I’m often on the lookout for the next great book for me to lose myself in (recommendations are welcomed, by the way). When I am not in the office, you’ll find me spending time with my friends and family and making sure there is always plenty of laughter.
